Which style home?

In about a year me and my parents plan on moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, they plan on building new with a home builder called Pulte homes. Anyways, they offer 2 style homes with many different color choices, but my dad thinks they look better without the stone (partly because its fake) but I swear he's crazy and it looks 1000x better with the stone. What do you guys think? Maybe its there's just to much going on for old guys?

I think the stone makes it look classy.

Stone is way better, it definitely breaks up the monotony of the rest of the house.

The stone house is the way to go. I had stone veneer on a portion of my last home. Although it was fake (concrete), it looked and felt like real rock. If they do it right, it'll look great.

Hmm I guess I'm the only one that likes the second one better. This design already has a lot going on (different shapes, lots of edges), and the stone makes it even more busy. The stone might make it look more luxurious to some, but I like the charm of the second one.

To my eye, the stone simplifies the look a little, it's easier on my eyes.

Yeah I like the 2nd one more.

The stones look pretty nice but its too busy for my eyes.

The simplicity of the 2nd one wins me over.

My folks live in Santa Fe, and I much prefer the look of faux adobe to the look of faux adobe and faux stone. Your dad's got the right idea. Of course I also think grass looks stupid when you live in the desert, but the big homebuilders don't seem to listen to my opinion (I worked for the first and third largest).

I'm in Albuquerque and I say go for #1. Looks a lot better and has better curb appeal when it comes to resale.

You should also use a Realtor, they might be able to get you some free upgrades plus the builder has to pay them a commission so it doesn't cost you anything.

If you need the name of a good one, I know one, he's called berncohomes, maybe you know him

I like the look of the stone and the separate 3rd car garage is cool too. Looks like a pretty unique floor plan.

Yeah, It is a unique floorplan, its around 2700 square feet, with no basement of course. The ceilings are 10' high everywhere which It weird for me coming from a home thats just 8'. Here's a few pictures of the inside of the home if anyone is interested at all.

Theres getting cherry cabinets ands granite countertops
