Swissvax Leather cleaning brush: It Rocks!
Hey Folks,
I haven't had much luck developing a good leather cleaning regimen. I tried some of the Haverty's branded cleaner and conditioner, a leather cleaning from the dealership, and Meguiar's cleaning wipes. I tried using cleaning rags, microfiber, and cotton terry towels. Nothing really worked well and with a beige interior, things got ugly quick! Then, I came across a leather cleaning video on Youtube showing the Swissvax cleaning kit. The use of the brush intrigued me. I initially ordered one from Detailed Image but it was awful. The bristles were so stiff and abrasive, I didn't even consider using it on my car. So I got on another website and ordered the Swissvax brush. I can tell your that it's miles ahead. The bristles are softer. I also ordered Zymol cleaner and conditioner. The total cost was considerably less than the Swissvax kit. Here's what I started with: Dirty! I laid down some tape and got to cleaning. Here's a 50/50: Here's a close up: Not too shabby! I will give a another 4 weeks and go back and clean some more. For me, the brush seemed to make all the difference in getting the dirt off and returning the leather to a matte appearance. If you're having trouble getting good results, you may want to consider it. |

I had the exact same experience... bought that cheap DI brush then upgraded to the swissvax brush and never looked back. I use it with leather masters soft cleaner in one of those foaming soap dispensers.

Yep, I love mine. It makes all the difference in the world. For big jobs I use my soft upholstery brush on my D/A and works better than anything else. I still like to use the SV brush on premium leathers.

Very nice! I might have to get one. I want to get my Saddle Brown back to a matte finish on the driver's seat, instead of that shiny look from use.
Thanks for sharing!

Yep I have the Swissvax brush as well, and completely agree with his assessment ! It is soft, and gently scrubs the leather without causing any damage, but does a great job with a good leather cleaner !
It's must have tool to keep in your car cleaning kit ! |

Look into pristine clean.. Its amazing stuff, has uv protection, and some conditioners, and leaves a clean, matte, soft feel. A soft brush with light pressure is a must for soiled leather areas.. Thanks for the link, my leather brush from detailer domain has worked great.
