I must say I am really disappointed in the looks. When the boxster spyder came out it was leaps and bounds better looking thant the boxster S. Sucks too cause I was hoping it would look nicer.

doesnt look much different than the standard cayman s. except for the wing and the slightly more aggressive bumper.

Peridot is a standard color? Configurator must have some bugs still.

No good old silver metallic? I see platinum and GT. I like platinum on the Panamera but not this car. Love GT but it is steep to get it.

WTH?

What else could they have done re: looks w/o adding weight?

The Spyder got the nice speed humps because the car lost it's traditional roof system. Other than that the Spyder is basically the same as the others is it not?

Great, Pay more, get less. Makes no sense. The premium you pay for the R model is way more than if you just got an S and put that 5 or 6k into mods. You would get more HP and still have a car that can be driven in the summer or winter and has a damn CD player. These car companies are getting retarded with charging more for giving a few more HP and stripping the car out. Anyone who buys one has serious mental issues.

LOL lots of mental issues in the car industries then. People who converts 3 series to real M3 without the motor.

i don't mind paying 5k more if the driving experience is much better. in this case i'm sure it does.

but there is still a cuteness to it. no for me.

The front fascia is slightly modified but makes a huge difference in the agressive look of the car. The humps add a competely different look to the car as well....especially with the top up. You'll know a spyder when you see it..where as you'll be hard pressed to notice the difference between a cayman R from the S to the untrained eye. They just put the aero kit on it and called it a day.

I'm all for raw cars and all, but no a/c = no thanks. It would have to be nothing but a dedicated track car if it had no a/c.

Once again graider, the driver of a phoenix yellow M3 can't complain about the "cuteness" of a Porsche

It's really difficult to change the look of a hardtop compared to a convertible hence the much sharper difference in styling between the Boxster and the Boxster Spyder vs the Cayman and the Cayman R.

Mental issues..

Don't all of us on here have mental issues then?

If one wanted to delve down to the bare metal of what an automobile is for then anyone paying more than XXXXX for a safe, reliable mode of transportation has mental issues. Right?

I am sure plenty of mental cases have called their dealer to inquire on the car.

Not trying to be a smart a but there are two sides to a coin.
