I didn't go to my senior prom. I don't regret it one bit. Not only the cost, but I didn't see there being anything fun happening AT prom that would entice me enough to go.

I did however attend some after parties, got silly, and had the time of my life. This was way way way better than going to the actual prom.

10/10, would re-do senior after prom parties again.

you can buy some good dresses at local boutiques (at least within LA) for less than $100.

$1000 sounds rather steep for a prom dress.

At first I thought this was going to be a troll thread. But OP seems sincere.

Therefore I think it's great that she's lurking and joined. Hell, when I was in high school I drooled over Ducatis and lurked the Ducati forums before I even had a motorcycle license.

Nothing wrong with dreaming and being passionate about BMW (or whichever subject), and participating. Plus OP actually has a BMW, which is more than I can say for myself in my high school days

Anyway OP on a serious suggestion, why not go skydiving? It'll still run you $400 for a tandem and video but that experience you will definitely not forget.

Team Plutonium if this is you I'm going to kill you.

If not, OP your parents bought you a $35000 car and you're fretting about a few hundred dollars? Get a grip, don't be a loser, go to your prom.

Yup, my other friend (who is having boy problems...) and I are probably going to go skydiving the next day but idk if we can since I'm 18, but she won't be by that date.

Lol I knew people would think I was a troll, since they think that in real life too, but then they see me drooling over random cars ugh although all the guys at my school have Infinitis and Mercs but someone has a 335is I need to meet this boy

I thought troll because of the random question about prom and 0 posts (your OT posts don't count);

Under 18 depends on state law and drop zone rules. Call the drop zone and find out.

Hey, I lurked literally all the forums here, because I couldn't freaking decide what car I wanted. I've read allllllllll of the the M3 and M235i posts because I was ready to buy one but then I decided to make a "sensible" decision and somehow ended up with a 320i. It's a great car, but someday I want an M3

We got married on the beach with zero guests. She didn't need an elaborate gown. She looked spectacular.

FWIW, I had a girlfriend at the time and we decided to pass on the senior prom. Mostly because junior prom was so lame. So we packed up some booze, went out for dinner, and spent the night at the beach. I haven't regretted that decision for one second.

M3 owners are douchebags, you don't want to be associated.

And wait, you went from looking at M3s and M235is and went for a 320i?
