Yeh man! Freakin loooove jetskis.

We've got two '05 Seadoo RXPs (black/green). They've got 215hp and I've managed to top it out at 71mph. At that point it just depends on how smooth the water is. The water's been amazing for jumps lately, especially when Fay was around.

I honestly didn't know people tuned waverunners...honestly.

Oh for real? Damn. Yeah, the digital readout tops out around 69-71 depending on the water.

To be honest though, straight lines get boring fast. At first, the acceleration is vision-warping, but you get used to it so quickly. My favorite thing to do is cat and mouse with another friend on the other waverunner. That, and jumps.

Hah, this one time I was following a huge yacht that was moving at a decent pace. I hit the outter wave of his wake (these were HUGE waves), jumped over the next set, and then land INTO the inner set of waves in the wake. I went underwater for a sec and it ripped my visor off. I was sitting there dazed for a sec, haha.

Damn son. That's fast. I think our RXPs get to 60 in around 3-3.5 secs. Do you know how waverunners even measure speed with their onboard systems?

My last ski, 2000 GP1200R. Had a ton of modifications would run a tick over 75 on GPS @ 7280 RPM.

Sold the GPR and bought the RXP-X in the spring if this year. Doesn't have the top speed my GPR did but it is a monster on holeshot and a handful on the buoy course. It will run 70 on GPS. Seadoo enlarged the intake opening and designed an extremely restricted intake grate to slow the ski down to comply with the Coast Guard gentlemans agreement of 70 mph. I've modified my grate by cutting the 2 outer wings off and it will run close to 73 on GPS. Plenty of guys on Greenhulk.net are running upper 77-78 with no motor mods.

Ignore the attire, it was 40 degrees outside in Feb and I wanted to go for a quick run.
Trim the ski all the way up and nail the throttle and this is what it does.

I'm actually selling this ski to move on to something north of 300 HP, so if anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

I love riding jetski's. Haven't been in so long.

Fastest one I've ever ridden was a suped-up Kawasaki. Before I went on a ride, I was told it topped out above 95mph. Wrong thing to tell me.

It was really choppy and I caught a side wave doing around 60mph and got thrown about 50 yards from it. I still remember skipping across the water like a stone. One more attempt, I hit 70ish and let off cuz it really did scare the shit out of me.

But damn that was fun!

Love them!!!

Used to ride a buddies all the time until he moved. I'd buy one, but I have two motorcycles and only the BMW (not going to tow with it) for a vehicle. Some day I will get one. If it was not for the bikes, I'd have one...
