A Sad Reminder To Drive Safe
While I know everyone loves their BMWs for the performance and speed, this is just a tragic reminder to stay safe out there regardless of how slow or fast you drive.
The 7-year-old boy who was injured in this crash is the cousin of a good friend of mine. The family came to visit from the Philippines only 4 hours earlier and then this happened. Unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries earlier today and has passed. The father remains hospitalized. Full Story: http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?se...cal&id=6061032 |

Old town Pasadena, definately a place to keep slow and cautious of pedestrians at all times...even if its pedestrian's carelessness....you still don't want your car to be a murder weapon....

My condolences and well wishes.
What do you want to bet, at least one of those drivers were yapping away on their cell phones. |

My sincerest condolences, itsxtian. It's such a tragedy when innocent lives are taken when carelessness and recklessness are involved, especially when it happens to such young children who have yet to experience much of what life has to offer. I hope that the father makes a full recovery, and even though the loss of his child will pain his heart for some time to come, may he find solace in the knowledge that the little one will forever live on with them in spirit.
Unfortunately, with all the hectic happenings of everyday life, it is easy to forget that it is a dangerous world out there. Remember to always be alert, especially when behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. Like it or not, we are driving around in several thousand pound weapons, and it may only take a single mistake for tragedy to strike again. Hang up the cell phones, put down the bagels and coffee, put away the mascara, and focus on the reason you're in the car in the first place: to drive. And for everyone's sake, if you're going to go out drinking, take a taxi or get a ride, but DO NOT DRIVE!!! We don't need any more morons out in the streets then there already are. Stay safe out there.

First of all, my condolences to the family and the people who were injured in this accident. It will always take more than a slap on the wrist for people to remember to drive safely on the street. This reminds me of my recent accident, though no one injured but things like this always happen incautiously . As owners of BMW we should especially pay more attention when driving on the street with our "Ultimate driving machine".
