To all the architects out there... looking for some advice
I'm in need of a drafting table for my room, I have narrowed down my search to three tables, ranging from $100-190.. Please help me choose, I am looking for a sturdy table that won't wobble while I'm drawing, also something that would last me a long time.. All three are within my price range <$200 so any of the three or even something else you recommend is fine. But of course, cheaper the better.. but if it is truly worth the extra $$ I wouldn't have a problem optioning out for #1. (fyi, all the tables are 31x42 inches)
The runner-ups: 1. Alvin Workmaster Jr. Drafting Table ($189.99) http://www.draftingtables.com/drafti...terjrtable.cfm 2. Martin Universal Design MXZ Drawing Table ($149.77) http://www.dickblick.com/zz516/52/ 3. Berkeley Classic Foldaway Table ($119.98) http://www.draftingtables.com/drafti...x42inchtop.cfm Thanks for looking guys... |

Isn't drafting table quite passe in the age of PC's and CAD?
Anyway, Alvin always makes good stuff. It looks quite sturdy judging from the photo. |

Yeah, but its NAAB requirement that we learn how to do the basics with pencil and paper.... Kind of bullshit if you ask me, why not let us start straight with CAD if we already know how?
