Resetting short counter in FRM2 with toolset32?

This has me pretty stumped need some help...

For several weeks now i've had my front driver's side angel eye out. Angel eyes are coded as DRL, and the passenger side works fine, i replaced them both thinking maybe it burned out. Still didn't work, since bought bav tech and inpa cables and software.

That's how i found a code in my frm2 module saying i had a short circuit. I read that this counter can be reset using toolset32 via inpa. I speak german so exploring the program isnt too hard as i can understand pretty much all the command options in the frm70 file without having to translate them. i think have it narrowed down to one or two different reset commands. However i don't know the format or process to enter the number of the circuit i'm trying to reset, in my case driver's side angel eye, or the corresponding number of that circuit.

I have read the format for entering the command is hexadecimal? does anyone know? or is there a way to reset a range of numbers?

thanks for any help

You have to enter each number individually. I did this 2 months ago for a 2008 E90 with the driver side angel eyes out. The number was some where between 2 and 10 for that particular car. Good luck.

You need to INPUT 0x04 for your left headlight and execute job. That's it.

I tried one of these commands steuern_reset_kurzschlussabschaltung and _reset_kurzschluss_sperre. Try both of them and one should work. All I did was enter the number as a normal integer and execute.

Awesome guys!! there really was not much when you search coding frm2 or frm70, so this is a great resource.
I think my issue is actually my inpa cable itself... it shows a orange/red light for a few seconds after connecting, and inpa recognizes that it is connected, but no matter what it crashes after a few seconds... any advise or do i just need a new cable?

Yeay, i got my AE's working... not gonna give any more update other then that

just kidding. Okay here is what i did:
1) Make sure i'm on map 0
2) Load INPA and make sure i have both black dots so i know my cable works
3) Close INPA (very important to do this)
4) launch TOOL32.EXE
5) click on "jobs" and start typing out: steuern_reset_kurzshlussabschaltung
6) click on the text box located under arguements and enter the various hex values (you will need to try both check marked and unchecked for the box that says DATA). Press F5 or double click on the job name to send each command one by one
a) arguement = 0x0 (received error result)
b) 0x1 (received error result)
c) 0x2 (received error result)
d) 0x3 (received error result)
e) 0x4 (received error result)
f) 0x5 (received error result)
g) 0x6 (received error result)
h) 0x7 (received error result)
i) 0x8 (received error result)
j) 0x9 (received error result)
k) 0xa (received error result)
l) 0xb (Got my first OKAY, and started to jump up and down with joy)
7) went back to the job for reading the counter and instead of showing 50... it was now 1
8) closed TOOL32.EXE and open INPA
9) cleared all errors in the FRM
10) start my car and enjoyed seeing my driver side AE alive again

Careful with aftermarket AE short circuit faults, investigate and solve the problem. The DME shutdowns the circuit to protect your ballast and you dont want to replace yours, costs 300$-400$.
Maybe you have a faulty wire or similar.
