I would vote for the TAG. I still have a thing for the Monaco. I am wearing the Movado and could be considered a watch whore by my friends and family. One of these days I need to get a Breitling.

Sweats and an expensive watch rocks.

Been interested in this one lately, but I'd have to sell my 1er to pay for it. Kinda defeats the whole point.

I've been contemplating this unique timepiece:

Citizen Skyhawk A-T
JY0000-53E (Stainless Steel Version)
JY0010-50E (Titanium Version)

Eco-Drive (Never needs battery)
Atomic Time Radio Sync!
More pics & info

A 2 minute video commercial for this watch. Enjoy!

Great choice. Citizens are bullet proof and have great features. ie, dual time zones, flight computer (slide rule on the bezel), ect... I would highly recommend Citizens for there usefulness and durability. The eco drive system is fantastic, you never need to change the battery.

I would also recommend the titanium if you don't like clunky feeling watches. It's much lighter than the stainless and you hardly know it's there.

I hate spending lots of money on clothes, jewelery, etc... I recently bought a Citizen watch which cost me about $300 and for me that was quite a splurge. I couldn't imagine spending thousands on a Rolex.

A Rolex Daytona. The wait for the watch is four times longer than the wait for the car.

Coming from a family of watch-case makers, I have been keen on watches since childhood and have a variety, chosen (over many years) not for show but for their horological interest or for their appropriateness to occasions or functions. The watch I wear in the 135i, or any other car, depends on where I'm going and why. If someone else wears a Timex in his Veyron or a big-ticket mechanical watch in his Chevvy Tahoe, what's it to me? Watch snobbery is as brainless as car snobbery.

Ohh, me likely. And less than $500 it seems. If it is not worn every day, how long will it stay working? The Eco-drive is solar right?

It is a solar power system. And it will work for a LONG time without seeing the sun. I don't have any stats, but I wore one in though the long Alaska winter with no problems. I imagine that it would be fine for well over a year without seeing much sun.
