I'd put Carton Draught in place of VB, but I like your style.

The plaque in my local pub that states I am a 200 pint club member should put any doubts to rest that I have tried it a few times to see if I really liked it! LOL

Tough call

There are so many great beers, but here goes:

Dogfish Head 120
Victory Golden Monkey (on draft)
1999 JW Lees Harvest Ale
Avery Demon Series (The Beast, Samael's or Mephistopheles-all 3 are great)
Sweetwater Donkey Punch

Well in Germany real beer is drank like an American drinking a Coors Light in 5 seconds. Hats off I guess?

Got more than five...

Germany, like the rest of the Old World, has been left behind in brewing, because they are simply not innovative or risk-taking. They continue to primarily brew pale lagers and pilsners, although Belgium admittedly has an incredible selection of ingredients in some of their ales.

Macro-brewers aside, the USA, however, is the New World when it comes to craft-brewed beer, and nobody brews bolder, darker, and stronger beer than those here.

I cannot comprehend why someone would choose Guiness Stout, for example, when there are literally hundreds of vastly fresher and arguably superior comparables brewed state-side.

I can appreciate a well-brewed Hefe, but most lagers are just tasteless to me. I'm a hoppy and dark ale guy. My faves:

1. Port Brewing High Tide Fresh Hop IPA
2. Bell's Two-Hearted Ale
3. Greenflash West Coast IPA
4. 3 Floyd's Alpha King Pale Ale
5. Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA
6. Old Dominion 29,035 foot Double IPA
7. Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
8. North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
