Support Kimi till he retires.

Two of the best drivers to ever grace this planet. Schumacher has a feel for a car that we could only dream of, he knew where the limit was and he constantly drove on it, I don't know whether that comes with alot of practice or is a gift from God, but he is an incredible driver.

I thought SpeedTv would have a re-air from Fox's original broadcast, but I haven't seen one yet. If anyone has it taped though or on DVD it would be awesome if you could post it on YouTube!

I can't wait until next year, they're FINALLY coming back to Indianapolis for the U.S. Grand Prix. That weekend is like car enthusiast HEAVEN. I was down the year before the tire fiasco, and Corvette, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, you name it, their clubs all had a meet there. That was the first time I got to drive an Enzo. We should most definitely arrange something for that, I know it's a long way away, but still...

If you've never heard an F1 car in person... All I have to say is bring alot of Kleenex.

Yeah, Kubica destroyed him. Obliterated. Humiliated. Comes out behind him and immediately gets past him, then in about 20 laps gets far enough ahead to complete a pit stop and get out in front (26 seconds).

Kubica is fortunate he didn't get hit at same time *at least Hamilton chose to swerve left*.

Lewis (and Kubica) are the 2 young stars on the F1 circuit, but young Hamilton needs to calm down and start thinking. This lack of thinking clearly cost him the championship at the end of the 2007 season *where he had 3 or 4 different opportunities to secure the points necessary to win*.
hmmmm, I wonder if he determined while in the skid to hit the ferrari and not the bmw??? Ya know, to take the competition out with him...

^- that is what my wife said.... but part of me feels that its a natural reflex to swerve when you are going to crash, but only Hamilton knows for sure.

I was hoping that kimi would punch Hamilton in the face.. but no such luck.. I used to hate Alonso and cringed of the thought of him going to Ferrari. But the way he's been driving, their is no denying he is a hell of a driver. I almost want him to go to Ferrari now so that he can obliterate Hamilton.

I hope Hamilton never wins a world title.

I know , but like it's one of the highlights of the summer for me. I have gone down every year except for the tire screwup year, and the year before that I got to go down 4 days before the race. It is so awesome to see an F1 race, and it's the only chance I have at the present time to see one, until I move to Europe.

Cement barriers were lining the right side of pitlane.

If he'd lifted he might have missed Kimi and been able to scoot thru just to his left *I think there was some room there*

I believe there was room there too, I just don't think he reacted in time to notice that. It has been said before but I believe he just nailed it out of the pits and at the last second was like "oh sh!t people in front of me are stopped". They showed this in a replay too... He had the wheel going straight until about 1-2 seconds before he crashed.

In my opinion that's pretty pathetic. How can you be one of the best drivers in the world and miss the fact that the cars 100ft+ in front of you are stopped??

I agree. Especially when the pit-lane speed limit is 100 kph .... ? What I found even more obcene were his comments after the incident. He should have just manned up and said that he ficked-up

I don't deny the talent he has, but he started in a Mclaren. Alonso drives a Renault now, and he isn't that big of a threat anymore. You put anyone in a Ferrari or Mclaren and they will be a top contender.

Why all the hate for Nick Heidfeld? Maybe he's just having a bad season? He's certainly not a bad driver in the least and I want both Kubica and Heidfeld to do well.

I finally got a chance to watch the race tonight and it was worth the wait! I'm so happy for the all hard working people who made the BMW Sauber F1 Team what it is. Congrats to both drivers for an awesome drive as well.

God how I love Formula 1!!!

Ferrari wreck...!

I was there - in the stands at turn 2 - could not believe it when the crash happened - rookie mistake! Personally blame it all on Fisichella for crashing his Force India into the wall and causing a safety car....! As it happens - there were only 2 safety car periods in the race - both caused by the Force India cars crashing.......
Anyway - best sight of the day was KR's car being paraded round the track in all its broken glory at the end of the race - piccy attached for all you Ferrari haters!!!

Hamilton's overrated, as a driver he's got talent, but he's also got a quick car. Put him in Renault or Red bull and let's see if he's as good with developing a car as well as driving it at the limit. I too was an Alonso hater, but seeing how he returned to Renault and is able to apply his technical knowledge to improve the car, that's a champion driver right there. Hamilton hasn't done his time yet and has a long way to go before you can even compare him to Schumi. I think the greatest rivalry was Mika and Schumi, they both respected each other and left everything on the track.
