iPhone user help

I just got a black 8G iphone, I wanted to know:

How do I simply turn everything from vibrate to having vibrate and sound? It seems like I have to jump through hoops just to get everything to shut up when I want it to

For some reason my internet doesn't work... do I have to do something to set it up?

What other things would you recommend that I do? I have contacts in and my basic understanding of how stuff works.

im confused reading your question butif you look in the settings-->sounds you will be able to adjust ring and vibrate settings. to turn all sound off adjust the settings on that page and use the volume switch on the side on/off.

are you on att iphone plan? if so your interent should just be working considering your a legit iphone user

On the side of the phone where the volume rocker switch is, there is another switch right on top of it. Toggling that back and forth will take you from vibrate, to whatever your normal ring setting is.

my Mom doesn't have this many problems with her iPhone, I think it could be the user in this case.
