I officially am never buying a ford ever. That was THE dumbest car commercial i have ever seen. Who the fuck cares how well it can do a tight turn at 10mph when the only situation i can think of that needs that is when you do a poor job at parking in a tight space :P

That's exactly why I posted it and why I hate it. I'm all for comparative commercials, but this one was just done in such a stupid, *stupid* light it doesn't even make any sense. I was actually about to start giving it to Ford until I saw this commercial.


I can appreciate the jokes about the lack of 'trunk' space, key start, etc etc.

Wow, uptight much guys? That was painfully obvious that it was all a joke. That wasn't even an ad that is on TV, just a little spoof on their website. It has comedic appeal towards the younger male market. They aren't trying to somehow insinuate that a Fiesta is "OMG SO MUCH BETTER" than a Gallardo.

You won't ever buy a Ford because of this one thing. You have problems. Mustang convertibles (the V6 and even the 5.0) costs 10's of thousands less than your car and runs circles around it. But hey, lets discount an entire brand because of one comedy video they made.

You know.... I can think of someone much more knowledgeable and well respected when it comes to cars than you all who did something similar....

lol, i wasn't serious, but ive never been interested in any Ford other than the 2011 Mustang's. So it kinda does apply since i probably won't end up with a Ford in my lifetime :P

Actually, I've seen more reviews where the Fiesta comes in ahead of the Fit, but while many of the reviews have the Fiesta at number 1, there are also some that have it behind other cars (like C&D I believe who had it behind the Mazda 2 and the Fit, and it got beat pretty badly).

The only thing I'd worry about with the Fiesta is that some comparisons have ended up with absolute dogs of examples for whatever reason. They're turning out numbers on acceleration that suggest the engine isn't doing its due diligence and that the traction control systems (always on) are obscenely intrusive.

But, overall, I think I'd have to say the Fiesta has done very well in comparos so far. One big thing to think of is space. If you don't need it, that takes away the Fit's strogest attribute. If you do need it, well... The Fit has it.

I'm considering a Fiesta as a DD right now actually. I'd have to say its optional leather interior, and interior in general, is well above others at that price point. It's a good car for the price, and has plenty of available features. However, it's a bit of a dog. I'm kinda pissed that Ford didn't bring an Ecoboost version over. That would make it an excellent car.

Remember the one where the Fiesta being chased by the Corvette in the shopping mall, and the Sea-Land assault with the Royal Marine? How is the relevant with target customer? Its just making a buzz and fun with a show.
