Chevy Cruze out-corners 328i?

While watching Conan, TBS keeps advertising for the Chevy Cruze. Where did they get the out-cornering part? Any truth to this? Color me suspicious but I highly doubt it. Although if it was some skidpad number or something technical that can be massaged for advertising purposes, then I'm not surprised.

Probably skid pad numbers with sticky tires or something. Skid pad is 90% tires. Issues with suspension aren't seen since it's steady state cornering.

Doesn't a stock 328i come with 16'' wheels?

well, BMW is always a benchmark for performance, so be glad it still is a benchmark. in any case, im sure Chevy just tweaked the numbers to make them seem better... but we all bimmers are way better

They didn't tweak any numbers, and that's what keeps the statement from being a lie.

They tweaked the meaning associated with their select real numbers and statistics without falsifying anything.

Not much different than BMW harping about having the a car with the best resale price according to Kelley. It may be accurate, but since the car in question has so few sales to speak of it doesn't mean much.
