New excited e90 328xi 6MT owner

Hi everybody!

I'm new here, coming from Honda family, having owned a 02' Acura RSX and a 11' Civic Si.

After graduating and getting married I decided to get into more of a mature car that would be more family friendly and still feel sporty. ( Plus a silver BMW was my childhood dream, those body lines mmm :yummy: )

I'm about to pickup my first BMW. Its a 2007 328xi 6 Speed Manual, 60k Miles, Clean 1 owner Carfax, Titanium Silver, Black Dakota Leather, Premium Package, Sport Package, Winter package, Xenon adaptive headlights. Interior is like new and only a couple unnoticeable scratches on the exterior.

All that good stuff will cost me $16,600. I think it's a good deal, but please tell me if it's not

Anyways, I'm very excited to join the e90 community!

UPDATE: The deal is done, only paid $2k over the Civic.

UPDATE: First decent pictures at the Larz Anderson Car Museum in Brookline, MA

It's a great feeling to get a new to you BMW, especially when it's your first one. I remember getting my first BMW, it was an exciting time. Congrats on the purchase and welcome. These are awesome cars to drive, as you will find out soon enough. Oh, You made the right decision getting a manual, so much more fun that way

I'm sure you can knock down the price a bit from the dealer I knocked off 3grand when I bought my e90. Best of luck, and welcome !

Try to get them to come down a few grand then put the rest of the money away for repairs/maintenance.

It's a BMW dealership and I got them $700 below KBB. They wouldn't budge any more...

That is way high man, My 2007 328Xi MT Coupe Sport/Premium/HK/HS is being sold at my local dealership for only $14,999 with about 80,000 miles. I would think a sedan (even though it has 20K less miles) of that vintage would be at least be $1K less than that, unless the sedan came with some amazing warranty.

nice car, congrats

as for the price, i agree if you are getting the car you want then the price is not far off, bmw dealerships don't sell anything cheap

xenons and 6mt and sport package on a 328 are must have options on the 328

good luck and drive safe

Nice ride! You'll really enjoy the 6MT. It definitely makes the car more fun to drive on a daily basis, and makes the quick run to the store a little more exciting. If you notice 1st into 2nd is a bit "clunky", it's normal for these cars.

That's my thinking! I looked at one with 82k and worse condition for 1k less. Who cares what year if it looks flawless inside and out and has lower miles. 20k, that's 2-3 years of driving for me, so that's more than worth it imo.

Not a bad price at all for this area. I have a car with IDENTICAL options, and they are very hard to find loaded up like this. I paid $19k for mine from Porsche of Nashua a year ago, with 41k on it. It now has almost 70k with my commute, and couldn't be happier. These cars range a bit in price, and with options and condition, the price varies substantially. Finding an Xi with a 6MT is a needle in a haystack too, and awesome to have for the winter!

Congrats!

That seems pricey. I bought my 335 for less than $1k more than that a few months ago and it only had 30k miles.

Congrats my friend!

East Coast is always ridiculously more expensive.

Download an app called TrueCar, or Google TrueCar.com.

There you can get the price you should be paying for a car of comparable value, and show that to the dealership.

That said, if they can't match it, I would go elsewhere.

While you're at it, I would get a PPI, and as my buddy Evo mentioned, definitely invest in some sort of warranty, or ensure they include one with the car.

You should have significantly less problems with a 328 NA engine than a 335, but still, things do happen, and you don't want to be stuck paying out-of-pocket for repairs on these cars, especially with a family in tow.

I know you're excited to get this car, but please take your time- it will save you money and headaches later on

Best of luck to you, and enjoy the car in good health!

I believe from BMW dealership for 6MT, all the packages, great condition and clean 1 owner with service history, $700 below kbb is pretty fair.
