Thanks for taken my side lol. And yea i have sat inside a couple before, i don't find it to be bad at all . Its actually pretty dam comfortable . The dash materials may not be what BMW's are but they are definitely functional and don't look bad in real life. So im not really being mislead by these type of comments , its all a matter of opinion

I don't know why I even argue these things on E90 anymore. If this were posted on 6SpeedOnline, anyone knows that the stock C6 would crush the E92 M3 on the track or drag strip.

Yet here, you get the most asinine fanboys claiming they have "roasted C6s" all day long. Yeah, maybe if you were racing an automatic, bare bones C6 driven by an old lady. But a stock manual transmission C6 LS3 with the Z51 package (merely $1,600) would annihilate an E92 M3, and cost $12,000 less too.

I mean the stock C6 lapped the Nurburgring faster than the Gallardo! Yet someone is going to be roasting it with an E92 M3? Ridiculous.

Another C6 LS2 walking an M3 E92:

It's hilarious I was at a Superbowl party, and this Army guy kept arguing how his M3 could beat a Vette "any day of the weak." Man, the power of one justifying his own purchase.
It's is well known that the M3 is not intended for nor is built for drag racing. There's really not much else a C6 is good for, except for its performance.

By the way, I'd be just fine driving in a car that "looks like a Civic" but has an M3 badge on the back.

Hey, badge pride! It's all about the badge. Woo hoo, and then some.

Comon thats a little harsh. If vettes were so bad the ones that are 50 years old , special editions ,etc. Wouldn't bring in tons of money at the Barrett Jackson. The corvette is a dead sexy car with just some wheels. Im not taking anything away from an m3. Obviously its a purposefully built car in many ways. Just because there was a video of 1 getting beat doesn't mean everyone has to get so offensive. They are each incredible in their own ways. Intends on how and where you are going to drive them.

But the BMW badge adds +300 Charisma, and +300 hotness to whoever is driving it. TiAg335i has a valid point.

This is truly the best forum period lol. Not only for technical things but also general discussion , off-topic, members etc. Its just amazing . Sorry my post has no relevance to the rest of this thread but it just is ... My purchase now really relies on insurance. Being 21 and having a corvette doesn't exactly look fantastic to insurance company so if they tell me something completely ridiculous then im just going to keep my 335i.

Insurance is going to be ridiculous for a 21 yr old with a corvette. Just stating the obvious, really. It also kind of depends on other factors but mostly your age and the amount of horsepower your car has.

I'm 20 with a 335i and insurance is INSANE.

get the vette.....find a used ls3 for less than a 335 and call it a day. stock for stock its not contest even w the M3. The ls3 vette will whoooop a new M3 in ANY performance category, I love this idiots defending their M3's blindly. Add a few grand in mods and you will have one serious performance car that IS friendly to live with every day. They have comfortable seats, great radios, ride well, and get much better mpg than the M3.

now take into account your comparing the C6 to the 335 and its not a contest in my book.

you dont need back seats = vette.

if I was in the market for a car in that price range, the LS3 would be my top choice

What were you saying about roasting a C6?
I think the C6 is a bargain with crappy interior but just very fast.Great car.
In front of me is the SPORTAUTO german carmag issue 1 2009 and the C6 did a Nordschleife lap in 8:15 and not 7:59...

????

Anyway, I 'd choose the 335i.

Because I want a Z06 or ZR1.

Hmm my choice is increasingly becoming more difficult. Because i'm the type of person who wants to constantly buy goodies and install them on my car and i feel like with a Vette I cant really do that . 335 there's tons of aftermarket parts . Anything from performance , aerodynamic, interior, etc. But as a DD i feel like ill have lots less to worry about breaking in the Corvette so

8:15 with an AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. 7:59 with the Manual. It's okay, you might have forgotten your glasses and missed that small detail. Forgiven.

The Vette has tons of after market parts, and the LS2 and LS3 are underrated in their stated engine power by about 25 HP each.

This is an MT LS2 with the Z51 package, headers, exhaust, and ECU tune:

It's running 11's all for under the price of a base, stripped, E90/E92 M3.

I will repeat, a good dealership is important particularly with the 'Vette.
Good luck.

Maybe it would make more sense (and be funnier, but I doubt it) if that was an actual Corvette.
