$3.35 for 93 usually... and sometimes $3.50... NY is freaking xpensiv man!! I only put $25.00 everytime I pump gas... it lasts me 5 days though, so I can't complain much... of course that on the weekends I spend double that 'cause I speed... =o)

Shell or Chevron or Union 76 premium (91 in Cali) and occasionally a 5 gallon pail of 100 octane Sunoco or VP racing unleaded!

The engine size tax changed 2 years ago. At the moment we can have any car we like up to 50,000Euros factory price(CIF) without paying extra taxes. If the car is more expensive than this limit, then you ought to be declaring annual income according to car's engine size.

For example for a 4litre engine I think you need to declare about 80,000 euros, about $100,000 annually, which means more or less $50,000 tax :-)

For 93 octaine, I pay between $3.07-$3.09 when I am in NJ. In NY is runs about $3.45-$3.49. I have put NY gas in my car maybe once since I've owned my car (I can usually wait until I cross the tunnel before filling up again).

Funny thing is that NJ has all full service stations, so when I pumped my own gas in NY, it seemed that something was wrong with my gas cap when it only clicked once. My other cars will click several times when its closed.
