The rain cleared up yesterday so took the family driving around Malibu and spent the day chilling on the beach in nearly perfect weather but now I have to have all the sand vacuumed out of the car.

I sold my boat that had twin I/O engines because it was a pain in the ass to service. I went out and got a center console with a single outboard instead.

Took advantage of a promotion from AT&T and got 2 new phones for free with trading in our 3 year old phones. The old phones were perfectly fine but thought why the heck not?

Activating the phones was a pain and shouldn't be that difficult being that it's 2023....

The cereal from my childhood sucks today. Every now and then, I get a craving for some really junky cereal from way back when, but today they've cut down on the sugar and artificial flavoring so it's almost tasteless.

Again, I don't eat that kind of crap all the time, but when I do, I want it to be as good as it was when I was 8 years old.

I created an entire thread about craving Funyuns and then being disastrously disappointed when they didn't taste like what I remember when I was younger.

Really? That has not been my experience. They have tasted the same to me throughout the years. Wish I had a bag right now as I could house the whole thing.

That was a, "it's me not you" moment. I think my taste buds just evolved. I didn't remember them being so insanely salty.

These were good. Nice, deep onion flavor, cheese flavor was milder but still good, and of course salty like a chip should be. Texture is American kettle chip style.

The saga continues......traded in our phones for this promotion and At&T received them on March 15th. Still waiting for the trade in to be applied to my account.

Tried to get the wife a free Pixel 7 Pro on ATT last month, but she balked that to get it she had to switch into a new plan which was $20 more a month and required a 3yr contract. Said, she always claims she won't leave ATT ever so what's the problem, get into their new scam now so at least you can get deals in the future.
