Gotcha, thanks for the link. That's very Volvo-ish. Which would typically be a good thing, but I have really liked Mazda's design language the last few years.
Unlike Volvo though, these vehicles will be true RWD-based with longitudinal engines.

A company in this day & age developing a brand-new diesel from the ground up? Let alone a big six-pot AND selling it in Europe? What is this, a dream?

Mazda yet again doing God's work.

It's on the short list of possible replacement daily drivers for the other half whenever we start shopping for her.

I just meant the looks. Mazda keeps making affordable cars enthusiasts enjoy.

The CX-5 has the older interior design that looks dated. The current gen has been around since 2017 so it's long in the tooth. I'll be shopping for a premium SUV for the wife within the next year. So far the top 3 choices are the CX-50, RDX, and X3.
X3 has been around since 2018 so kind of lockstep with the CX5.

Pretty thick range of mid-size SUVs but I'm liking these more and more.

Been thinking of checking one out as a replacement for our daily.
WOW, if they actually put a real transmission in it, I may have to check it out. Those stupid CVT belt drive transmissions are a joke. It was borrowed from ATV's. Need something that can tow at least 5000 lbs, so I will have to look it up.

it will come with a six speed auto. Mazda has never offered a CVT in any of its cars. From what I've read the lower trims will pull 2000 lbs and the upper trims can pull 3500 lbs.
