Congrats! As a 718 GT4 owner I too can attest to the masterpiece Porsche created in the 4.0 F6.

Congratulations on the Cayman. That's probably the best manual car on sale now, which can still be driven year-round. How long does it take to order Porsche GTS 4.0 in Canada ? Is it true it takes 2 years now ?

Thanks
I put a deposit down in March of 2021 and got my car at the end of March 2022, but I hear it's harder to get one now.

hilarious that we both resolved these ongoing debates within weeks of eachother, hope the inspection pans out and look forward to seeing the new ride

my guess is you went with a p-car in the end...

Funny I almost gave up. A drop dead gorgeous Santorini Blue e92 M3 came up for sale, was there a while actually, 1 of only 22 in north america. It was proper beautiful but a coupe not a vert like i wanted. I decided to entertain the idea of just forgetting the 911, 3 car ordeal and sell my current DD and drive the bmw coupe. It was sold though and be damnded if next day a 911 rocks up.

Let's see how inspection goes, it has a $5K front end claim but tbh that helps keep the price in check a bit but means inspection is a long process, taking off panels to look at the frame etc. I mean a light is $3K... just the part ffs so let's see.

Why'd you go so conservative with the colour? The mill in your car, is that based off of the 997.2 91A engines? Also what's your kerb weight vs a 911?

I called it, a p-car!

in my yout, I was into louder colours, but now I prefer to keep it low key
pretty sure the engine is the 3.0l from the 991.2 bored out
weighs about 3100 lbs

Yeah that's the car, that blue. IMHo it was a steal but I REALLY wanted a vert, again, moot point as it was sold.

So our engine baege, seems a new line called MDB from what I can tell, not sure if it is derived from the MA1 line or not, hard to tell.

Some engine architecture seems to last forever, ALfa's 4 pot ran from like 1952 to 2008 or something, obviously regularly revised but the bones were from decades earlier.

Cayman

Congrats on that Cayman!!!
I can only imagine how awesome that 4.0 mates with the chassis and driving dynamics of the Cayman. My biggest regret is going for the F82 M4 instead of the NA Cayman....
