Depends on what you want to do while you're here.

Go to:

Robson & Thurlow - Robson is the main shopping row and the intersection iwth Thrulow is the busiest corner in town. It's the place to be and be seen during the day time. There are two Starbucks on this corner where you can hang out on the patio. Also a place to cruise (by foot and car) during the night. Cruising by car does present to be a problem on the weekends and the cops are out handing out tickets.

Yaletown - For dinner and nightlife if you want upscale. It's a renovated warehouse district which has all gone high end.

Granville - Clubs. The strip is closed off to traffic for the rest of the summer and most of the clubs are along these 5 blocks.

Gastown - Tourist area during the day. Alternative clubs (house and techno) during the night.

English Bay (Denman & Davie) - The bay is a row of 3 beaches all joined up along the shoreline which eventually runs into Stanely Park. Different beaches caters to different crowds (family, teens, 20-30's). The annual firework festival are seen down here. Shops and restuarnts up and down Denman and Davie cater to this crowd during the summer.

Whistler - The resort is just as busy during the summer now as it is in the winter. 3 hour drive from Vancouver so you could make a day of it or stay overnight (book ahead).

Kitsilano - Just outside of downtown (15 min). Shopping on West 4th Ave. More chilled and laid back. More geare towards lifestyle and recreational stuff. It's where all the snowboard and skate shops are located. While you're down here, check out the beach which is 3 blocks away. Another place to hang out and be seen.

White Rock - famous for it's beaches. 50 - 60 minutes from town. Laid back community where the locals go for the beach that don't want to go to town.

North Vancouver - If you want to get back to nature. The mountains that Vancouver are known for are located in this area. Mt bike; day hikes. Capilano Suspension Bridge.

The list isn't exhausted but I hope this helps you get started...

Have fun.

Eat, drink, sleep, etc. Seriously, I've been here for 30 years, and still haven't tried all there is to do. I've been in love with Vancouver ever since I first laid eyes on her.

Traffic is a pain in the ass, though. Even the local highways are jammed. To get a good road trip, you gotta take the road north of Kamploops to Jasper. Hardly anyone uses it, there are very few cops, and you can really HAMMER it through the twisties.

^ Pretty damn good list.

I would add going for a run / bike ride / or roller blade along the waterfront if it's a nice day. There is a pathway that goes around most of the waterfront downtown. Great for seeing the "sights". You can rent a bike or roller blades in the area

If you're athletic, go do the Grouse Grind on Grouse Mountain. The views from the top of the mountain are fantastic.

Excuse me? Didn't any inform you that the AVERAGE price of a home in Vancouver is roughly $1,000,000 CDN?? The housing market is sky-high here, and it just increased 13% last year, and will by 8% this year. If it wasn't for the "American" economy's current situation, our economy wouldn't be dragged down.

^ Fear. Fear that the prices will be higher next year and if they keep waiting they will only be able to afford a cardboard box in the back alley.

Unless you are refering to VIP rooms, I thought that the US wasn't impressive at all. Full nude meant no alcohol otherwise it was only topless. Where's the fun in that? If you go to Brandi's bring a wad of cash. They only respect ballers and high rollers.

If you're good at what you do why pay for it? Just hit up a bar or lounge and it should be easy enough.

Depends on where in the states he means. In Seattle it's full nude no booze =sux. In Portland it's full nude + booze = win. In Vegas, well use your imagination
