Anyone else here watch FP1 on bbc?

Did you see that thermal image of the Renault? You could clearly see the forward facing exhausts firing out red hot gas on it. They even caught the engine rev'ing under it. Looked like the car had phantom wings, brilliant!

Great great shot, I should go grab a picture of it before it goes offline.

I do think Red Bull is hiding their true pace in the practice sessions.

Also that new tire wear knob they have is clever.

A few seconds later they get a close up on the side too, looking down a bit, and you just see this jet stream of red. Best shot all practice!

Start will be interesting tomorrow. If Hamilton doesn't beat Vettel to turn 1, I think the race could turn into a processional.

True.

I don't know if you guys watch the BBC coverage, but Jordan had a good and interesting stat. Vettel has won only TWO GP where he didn't start first. All the other ones where won by him qualifying first and never getting any traffic or people behind.

I truly hope he doesn't get away on the start. Hamilton is on a roll. I hope he goes on tomorrow.

Not to call Hamilton's latest display a disappointment, but it is a little disappointing to see him not pulling a pole position this weekend. He had the potential to finally break RBR's grip on Saturdays.

That 2 race win not from pole stat aligns pretty well with my opinion of Vettel. He is quick, but I don't think I'd call him a true racer. There isn't much competition in just being first and staying there.

All the other wins by all the other drivers this year have been fought for tooth and nail. Still though, I look forward to tomorrow with great anticipation.

Great Q3, I really thought LH was going to get pole. He said he made a mistake in the second sector but SV was on the money. Great to see JB up there in the 2nd row. Hope the two mclaren boys are able to make a move on SV at the start

Just because others couldn't keep his pace thru the first half of this year, doesn't mean he's not as good at racing as the others, or a 'true racer'. Lol

He's certainly proved his abilities. If it was an isolated case, you may have a point. But we all know that's not the case.

Again, despite not on top podium. Still a good day for SV and RBR in the office.
WDC lead to 85 points, and WCC to be 103 points.
