a meditation on the speed limit

the music and editing is a bit mind numbing, but they make an excellent point, IMO.

People are not abiding by the law. If you are not passing, get your ass over to the right. Stupid 16 yr olds...

These kids make a good point, but everyone knows that we all speed. There isn't a need for this stupidity and annoyance

They make a good point and they made a valiant effort to make a statement, but in the end, it comes down to "who cares" and will this even make a difference in the speed limit laws?

Oh, and i've learned that i have a hard time seriously listening to a guy with eye liner on, speaking passionately about something.

What those guys are REALLY missing, is that the fact that no one cares about their little charade. They did not make a difference, they failed.

I'm so glad these kids took time off from protesting the World Trade Organization. Still, I thought the film was not badly done, and when I was their age I thought I knew everything, too. Had I been in the white van, I would have passed them and then immediately would have slowed down to break their line. Of course, maybe the guy had someone in labor in the back seat, who knows?

I would have fucked up their line by passing them and then slowing down between two lanes.

Its a valid point. But no law is going to be changed because people in the US dont know how to merge.

They did make a very valid point. The speed limit on I-285 is artificially low, and the cops do sit there letting every single person driving 75mph (20 over) go right by but as soon as somone drives by going 80mph they pull them over and hit them for a 25mph over the limit ticket. For going just 5mph faster than the surrounding traffic you have to go to court (required) and pay a $400+ ticket.

If you were to try and drive 55mph, you would probably get shot or run off the road (even in the far right lane) for pissing off all the other drivers. I was driving home tonight, and it was pouring rain so hard I couldn't even make out the lines separating lanes. I was going about 55mph and people were flying around me and riding my ass.
