Hey guys dealing with a oil leak on the front of my engine I have replaced the oil filter and cooler housing gaskets twice as well as an entire new oil filter housing so I 100% know it is NOT that. In the picture below the oil is where I have drawn in red, above the red it is dry and clean which is why I have been hesitant to replace the VCG. Can someone let me know what that ride where the red is would be called or anything else around there that could be leaking ????

I'm not 100% sure, but it's probably head gasket.

Is that engine yours or are you just using that as a reference?

That one has the external oil cooler thermostat housing. If your car is equipped, there are two lines that are attached which have o-rings. When I replaced my housing gaskets I replaced those o-rings too because they were hard and flat, and woukd have likely leaked.

The Vanos on the bottom looks like its bent back and missing the bolt.
