LOL.

(By 6/10ths as well).

When people say rain is a huge equalizer. And then Vettel bang on a 0.6 gap for pole.
People will find excuse to discredit how good Vettel is.

That's an impressive pole lap.

Great work by WEB to get back up near the front despite getting bogged down at the start (as did VET)

Potentially incoming rain.. Things could get interesting!

Exciting race!!! Congrats to Vettel for his 9th consecutive win! Although a bit scary when they botched up the pit stop afraid of a Safety Car, and stacked Vettel and Webber.

Great recovery drive from Webber after losing the position to Alonso after pit stop. And plenty of overtake!

Finally, a "championship" drive from Button gaining 10 positions. And many overtakes reminiscent to his 2009 championship!!!

The penalty on Massa was quite harsh! But seems like the drivers have been warned that about the pit entrance line during briefing.

We will miss Mark and Felipe in the paddock. What a character they brought to F1.

Season is over, bring it on 2014!

Incredible year for RBR, congrats to them but let's hope that we'll have a more competitive field in 2014. I'm really looking forward to see how the new cars and driver constellations will shake out. A lot to look forward to.

Also, I think Massa's drive-thru penalty cost Ferrari $10,000,000 (2nd in Constructors) - all things being equal.

Not a bad close out race for the 2013 season. RBR 1-2 sums up their dominance for a large part of the season (more evident in the 2nd half).

Was impressed by BUT and PER both making up double digit places to get in the middle of the points.

Amusing to see MAL driving angry again! Anyone to put money on him bringing money to Lotus next year?

Good-bye WEB see you in Silverstone early April next year for the start of the 2014 WEC. Good luck to RIC in filling the 'big shoes'.

March 2014 couldn't come sooner, looking forward to what the V6 turbos bring to F1 along with all the other changes e.g. narrower front wing, smaller spoiler and exhaust blown right out the middle, ERS etc.

I set the DVR to record the race because I was busy this morning. I just sat down to turn it on and watch the race and the TV happened to be set to NBC Sports. The TV came up just as Vettel was crossing the finish line on their frigging tape delay showing. Figures.

Not that the end was any surprise. Ho hum.

I hoped Vettel would repay Mark for the win he took off him at the Malaysian Grand Prix or even the Japanese GP where the team stitched Mark up with an extra stop to make sure Vettel won. But no he couldn't bring himself to let Mark finish his career with a win. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.

Another snoozer. Even the rain refused to make it interesting. Good race for Button.

Loved Webbo going helmetless for a lap.

I'm disappointed in NBC's coverage. Mega-commercials. In one case this race they came back from a break, had Matchett drool over an engine, showed just one lap, and then went back to a commercial. WTF? I'm pining for the old days of SpeedTV. I wonder if I can rig up something from the internet that will allow me to DVR the BBC feed next season.

No offense but why would he? What's in it for Vettel? Especially when he has the opportunity to make history- not to mention his drive to deliver nothing less than first place.

It also memorizes me how much criticism Vet gets, he's one hell of a driver. Not to rain on Webs goodbye celebration but think back when Vet won his first title... Vet was a long shot and it was Web and Alonso in the spotlight.

I also wonder how different it would be if Web won the title that year but it simply wasn't meant to be- the better driver won that day... That same driver hasn't looked back since.

Hence web finished an honorable second because the reality is that in F1 he is exactly that- second, when he could have been first.

My pleasure to share the 2013 season with all of you guys!
Looking forward to 2014!!!!

Not a bad season for 2013, start off with plenty of drama (Malaysia), disappointments (McLaren), WTF (tyre explosion)....then later of RBR dominance.

However, action never stops from P2 backwards, and the musical chair begins when Mark decided to leave, Massa leaving, Kimi going back to Ferrari while Lotus failed to pay the Ice Man a single Euro. Where will The Hulk go? etc etc...

Whilst the Brazil GP concludes with RBR 1-2, where summarize the 2013 (especially the second part) season. Also shows teams like Ferrari, Mercedes, Lotus fighting for P2-P4, and McLaren saving face season where highest finishing position was P4. Then McLaren, Force India, Sauber and Toro Rosso scraping from P5-P8; Williams secured P9 with single digit points throughout the season. Finally Marussia and Caterham still unable to score a single point.

It would have been amazing for WEB to have pulled off a win in his final race but it just wasn't meant to be. VET was just that big quicker on the day despite at various stages some very similar lap times being produced by both.

At the same time however not sure Mark would have wanted a charity present from his frenemy!

I guess, but he could have easily faked it without being obvious. His ego stopped him which was a shame. Few F1 drivers think Vettel is that brilliant, they know its all about the car but their estimation (and mine) of him would have gone up immensely if he could have engineered the vastly more popular Webber onto the top step. It would have cost Vettel nothing but have been a great thing to have done for Webber.
