Cool 2015 Mustang price announced. GT starts at only $32k

Full pricing list announced:

http://www.mustang6g.com

$32k for >420 hp / 390 lb-ft is pretty damn good value.

That's a very good deal. And I love that you can actually order different diff ratios. You rarely see that anymore.

I've priced out the car I want to a rough degree:
-GT premium in Guard
-6MT
-Performance Package
-Recaros
-Premium trim... either redline or the brown equivalent

Comes out to a hair over $42k.

They must save money on all of those fuel pumps that don't have to be replaced.

Well, to be honest we are talking about essentially a budget-quality vehicle in areas like interior design and feature content. That's the only thing holding me back from conmsidering a new Mustang personally. The interior design and build quality is just not good IMO, though I've been spoiled with nothing but luxury cars for the last 10 years or so. When I was 20 yo I would've lost my mind for this car!

My lease is up July 2016. It's definitely going to be between the Mustang Ecoboost or the 228i as my next car. The performance per dollar of the Mustang is undeniable, but the overall luxury + performance of the 228i is great too.

The materials and fit/finish are still of a lesser standard to luxury cars. But it is the entire reason why it is such a bargain performance buy. Ford concentrates on the engine and drivetrain. It really is a sh*t ton of car for the money.

The 3 Series F30 also has a cheap interior IMO. It only is better in the F80 because it is covered with leather, something many already wanted with the previous E9XM.

I sat in an i3, talk about a horrendous interior, I died a little bit after that experience

the i3 takes some getting used to, but for the "eco conscious" people out there its a perfect fit. not saying its the greatest, but neat concept for future cars to come

Agreed. I had a blast test driving the i3. Would make a cool companion to the M3 in the garage (refuse to pay that kind of $ though).

As for the Mustang, it's a very interesting car. Love the front for sure, like the profile, still not sure about rear 3/4. Will have to see it IRL. Performance vs $ is undeniable though.

Wonder if there's a BOSS 302 variant in the works. I actually really liked those.

Would any of you consider switching from a BMW to the new Mustang? I think the new Mustang is gorgeous, and from what I have read so far, it sounds like it will be a great car. I wouldn't switch from the E90. But having driven the F30, and not being impressed with its soft, plush ride and horrible steering feel, I can see myself going for the new Mustang when the times comes to get a new ride. A V8 with manual transmission would be the one I would consider buying.
