2013 Chevy Tahoe

Our family always had Suburbans and Tahoes growing up and considering the fact that there are still plenty leftover new 2013s on dealer lots, we are looking at picking one up. Dealers are telling me that the rebates just aren't there and that they are holding their value. They boasting the fact that they can take $10k off of the MSRP but I know sites like Truecar are showing 2014s which can be had for over $8k off MSRP. I would think they have to get rid of these since the '15s have already been out for several months.

Has anyone recently purchased or looked into a '13 Tahoe/Yukon?

You need to locate the 5-6 nearest Chevy dealerships and start "working" them, if you looking for those "big" discounts.
Leg work and hard nose tactics. Get ready to play "sleazy"
Good luck.
Back in 05 I purchased an left over 04 WJ jeep grand cherokee(msrp $36,xxx).
It took me a 9 days of back and forth until i "closed them down" end up paying $26,xxx for it. They thought they got me with high financing 5.2% but i ended up paying the vehicle in 12 months

That's what I think I'm going to have to do. If they're automatically giving up $10k off MSRP, I know that's not the best they can do. I'm going to go into a few dealers this week and see what kind of feedback I receive. I already have financing setup so that may hurt some of my bargaining power.

I usually just email the 5 closest dealers and let them know what I'm looking for, and simply ask who can give me the biggest discount under invoice price. Usually when they know others are getting the email to someone steps up and is willing to play ball.

^^ Yep. Let the dealers fight amongst themselves. It will be very clear who wants the business.
