N54 Wastegate problem

my 2007 335i wastegate started to rattle after i chipped iwth jb4, i took jb4 off, the rattle ease down alot but still there, dealer can't fix it they suggest me to replace the turbo, but thats 4gs, anyone know how to fix waste gate problems, seems like something alot of mechanics doesn't like to deal with this kind of stuff.

You are one of the many that have waste gate problems. Unfortunately the only sure solution is to swap turbos or just live with it. Mine rattles like crazy but quiets down after the car warms up.

damn, i knew these is a way, but u need a very special tool to tight the waste gate to a specific degree, but if u fuck up, ull over pressurize the turbo, u really need to do some physics before u fix....thx anyways

The JB4 allows you to alter wastegate position settings. It's not a surefire fix and only works on some cars, but seems to have made my rattle disappear. Check out the forums at n54tech.com for more info.
