I'd rather they go to 1-2 active cars since everytime i see biker cops they're always hiding.

I wouldnt be surprised if we saw $6 sometime during the summer.
You know nothing James! Hah j/k. Yea $5 is for sure I think....$6 I don't know about. Saudi Oil Minister called an emergency meeting today and being that they are the largest oil producer it does bode somewhat well for oil prices. Plus they are the only country that has a substantial amount of unused production capacity. They're producing about 9.5 milllion barrels/day when they could be producing about 11.5- if they produce to capacity it'll dramatically reduce the per barrell price of oil.

I believe that gasoline will see prices somewhere between $6-7.50 per gallon. I hate to see government step into private sectors but you have to wonder at what point will something be done to control the gross profits that oil companies are making before our nation turns into a "MadMax" scenario.

Remember, rising fuel prices are effecting everything we purchase, not just our gas at the pumps. Groceries and every retail good that arrives via a truck...and I don't know of many that don't, are escalating at an alarming rate...so while the average income is effected by 2.6% just at the pumps you can figure it's much higher than that when you factor in the remaining products we purchase. It's out of hand..and I don't see it getting under control anytime soon...I might start drilling in my backyard!!

No doubt baller! wait until it gets to $5, then $6 I'm sure that is where we are heading. people in America working minimum wage can't get to work anymore and put food on their table at the same time.
Now is an extra $750 to $2000 going to affect me that much maybe a tiny bit but the people working minimum wage think about those people for a while. Big cities with public transportation are niches all around the world every where else people have to drives long distances daily.

THANK god we got a hybrid saturn vue i drive.... honestly its been saving me so much money recently at 30+mpg. with a 13 gallon tank. that thing can drive me atleast 400 miles on a tank of 4.10x 13= 45 dollars.

Anyways i put 76 dollars of gas in my car on sunday...16.x gallons at 4.70 i believe.

I guess its kind of better for me, im not putting miles on my lease.

Hate to rain on your little parade but HOW you measure it is irrelevant. Taxes are higher across the pond. Doesn't matter if you pay by litre, gallon or spoonfull. This is just ignorance. No, not even. Basic education.

I for one think the high prices are good. Not only will it get people to drive less, reducing congestion for ME, but will cause people to use less oil in the long run, reducing the negative environmental externalities burning those fuels causes.

I would whole-heartedly support a price floor of $4/gallon in the US. If the actual price dips below, a tax is automatically applied to keep the price at $4 or above. It seems that price is the only way that Americans can be convinced to conserve. "Doing good" isn't enough. Mandating fuel efficiency (Read: CAFE) is not enough.
