How many of you will jump ship to MB or Audi when you get older?

Just wanted to know how many people are going to jump ship to MB when they get older. I was bored really.

Would you stick with the 7 or take the S or the Audi A/S8

I would jump ship and take the S550 or the A8 over the 7.

I like the s550 MUCH more than the current 7er. However, I have complete faith in BMW that the next 7er will be spectacular, and once again become the paradigm for large performance luxury sedans.

Without question. I don't find any of BMW's upper models to be that impressive.

I'm 44 and wouldn't own another MB or an Audi if they were the last cars on earth. Bought the wife a 2006 MB C230 with that miserable 7 speed autotrans. Always hesitates when accelerating, whereas BMW is instant power. Her MB will be 2 years old in July and has about 5500 miles on it. We are taking ED of my E92 335i in July and will look forward to another ED in a couple years to get her back into a BMW.

Also, love the 3 series and have no inclination to move up to a 5 or 7 series, ever.

If I could afford an S5, I would be driving it instead of my 335i coupe. It's not a matter of getting older, it's a matter of style and performance. I would buy an AMG any day.

I'd never consider a Mercedes. For me, the styling is not my taste, but the big killer is that most if not all of their offerings do not offer a manual transmission.

No manual tranny = No sale to me.
