Very rare breed 0-60 at around 3 sec and 2005. Way ahead of it's time

I'd imagine it's close to 270K+

I've yet to see one in person.

You know, when BMW or Mercedes-Benz develop a road going AMG or M car, THIS is what it should be. What we actually get are big bloated versions of a GT car, not a 'race car for the street' like they are billed as. The E30 M3 and W201 16-valves are perfect examples of what the manufactures used to be capable of, and willing to do.

Canepa has an amazing shop. I was there a couple of weeks ago (grew up in Scotts Valley), he had at least 4 959s, an EB110, an XJ220, Veyron, amazing race cars I could go on and on.

The CLK was there too

He has quite a diverse collection there for sale. The Ruf CTR 3 also caught my eye. It's strange that it puts down a comparable 0-60 time with a dtm while being much more powerful and enjoying an 800lb weight savings. I guess that's due to traction but I'm sure it will walk it on a track.

I'd wager DTM is more of a rare breed though.

Glad the ugly GT wing was replaced with the more sensible CLK 55 decklid! Looks so much better
