Thats exactly what it is. The proportions are all wrong. But look at any entry-level vehicle for most manufacturers. They all have terrible proportions.

I might also add that the car looks like the big brother to some rejected hot wheels affordable-luxury-car toy.

The cayman's proportion is spot on
That's an obvious exception to the rule considering that most people don't offer an MR platform as their base offering.

FF platforms will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to proportions. It's difficult to get around around nose-heavy designs.
