I like it. If they ever came out in AWD, I'd be all over it. A PnP unit just came out for it pumping it from 360hp to 450. I wonder how much boost it's making considering its 26psi straight out of the box.

Interesting topic alright, but doesn't the Evo FQ-400 have the worlds most powerful production 4 cyclinder engine with 405bhp??? I've read that in a couple places I think.
On the car, I agree i think it has too much horsepower for front biased AWD but nice car none the less Last edited by Brian_C; 12-23-2013 at 04:12 PM.. |

EDIT: Mercedes are doing some smart marketing on it, choosing their words carefully Its the most powerful 4 cyclinder in production today but only because the Evo was discontinued a little while back

It is AWD. I also wonder the power they can get from it, its known AMG engines are always stout and can take modifications easily.

The specs are pretty impressive for a 4-pot and the price is quite reasonable but it should of been a true RWD. Still can't get over the rear though. Looks like a Dali painting...

All of which seem to be UK only. I agree it's all a marketing gimmick to get sales though.

cla amg is only $4k more than a m235 (base price).....but its got 4 doors and awd. I know alot of us prefer a rwd but someone with kids with prfer the cla
the only thing not amg is that its not a v8 but this 4banger does 0-60 under 4.6, and its hand built like all other amg engine....nothing to joke/hate about .

I really do like the CLA but the price is of course steep. I'm very excited about all of the new German entry level cars coming out lately...

If a M1 is not a real M car then no M cars should exist. Now, if you are referring to the 1M, some people might agree with you, however, I consider it as a real M model. It's not just a 1 series wearing the M package. To each of their own anyways.
