They are claiming they are leading the segment in the "light weight rankings."

The new C63 with 4.0L V8tt is going to be amazing.

Fit and finish of the interior looks amazing. This is a segment buster. The sport interior is perfect blend of luxury and sport.

Oh and Burmester...enough said.

Overall a very sharp package!

The only part of the interior that I don't like it the hidden compartment/cup holder area. Everything else looks on the console looks compressed and it looks unnecessarily HUGE! Like room for 2 big gulps huge.

I've never even considered a Benz before, but that interior is fantastic for the segment. Even the tablet balanced on the console is forgivable considering everything else.

Looks like there hasn't been anything revealed regarding engine options for the U.S. market.

All of the information posted pertained to Euro pricing and Euro motor options.

I'm dying to see the AMG variant at this point.

Will probably look like either a baby S63 or baby E63.

What I've been hearing regarding the performance: 485-500 horsepower from a 4.0L biturbo V8. True DCT. RWD.

"Automotive News says that in the U.S. we'll get a C300 with a 2.0-liter turbo four with 235 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque and a C400 with a 3.0-liter turbo V6 offering up 329 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque. No, the model names don't make any sense to me either, but that's the world we live in now. Both will be initially sold only with 4Matic all-wheel drive."

A 4-matic C63 AMG sounds even more attractive.

I heard from a trustworthy source recently that the C63 will remain RWD, just like the F80 M3.

Yep! Now that the DCT has made its way into the CLA45, it has been confirmed that it will appear in the next C-Class AMG variant as well.

Maybe initially it will be RWD, but I bet they will eventually offer both.

Maybe for the LCI. Anything could happen I suppose. I'd be all over it.

First off I'd like to say, this car looks pretty good! I might want to get a second car as a DD next to my M3!

However, what I don't like, if this is true is the 2.0L TURBO engine in the C300. 235 horses is alright, does anyone know if MB underrates their engines a lot, much like BMW or are they usually on par or overrates them?

The C400 will probably be quite expensive considering it's probably gonna be the top of the line C-Class and it'll be a new "model". Was actually hoping they kept the 6cyl on both C300/C400 models

Are you sure it's a V6, I thought the new C was going to be the first model with Mercedes new straight 6?

Looks very nice. The interior is head and shoulders above the 3 series. Not digging the exterior. Interested to hear the driving impressions and manual gearbox review.

They will eventually move many engines back to straight sixes, but development just started. This is still a V6.

Not so excited about this base exterior. I'm sure AMG will be simply stunning. Interior is AMAZING.

Agreed. I am extremely impressed. Makes the entire BMW line up look plain and boring. Or as BMW corporate would say "We cater to the Business class folk and not necessarily the Luxury class folk".

Honestly the only BMW interior that really exudes any true luxury is the 6 and 6GC.
