F1 Inspired Car Design
Over the last several years, I've seen more and more F1 inspired front fascia designs on the street. Some of these make some sense as they are halo cars from manufacturers like Ferrari and Mercedes/McLaren with their Enzo and SLR designs. What I fail to understand is why some of those same subtleties are also being used on cars like the Toyota Rav4 and the Subaru B9 Tribeca. There are other examples out there but these are the first to come to mind. Has anyone else noticed this?
Enzo: SLR: Rav4: B9 Tribeca:

There isn't a car that is more F1-inspired than the BAC Mono.
I can barely see it in that RAV4 and Tribeca. I mean, Subaru had that design across most of its range for awhile, including the Impreza. The RAV4 is kinda there in the grill. But the people buying those wouldn't realize it. Maybe they are just trying to catch the interest of the younger buyers. |

That's what I'm talking about. The "nose" of the car. Obviously the Rav4 doesn't share any other attributes with an open-wheel racer.

I think that's in the same boat as the SLR and Enzo. They are halo cars. What I don't understand is why it's on compact SUVs and minivans...

My focus is more on the normal, everyday cars with an F1 element to their front fascia. Something with F1 in the name and purposely built to look like an F1 car isn't really what I was talking about.
