I really like the guy's car. Especially the contrasting hood (and surprisingly the stickers too..checkout the ///M stripes on the side) it all looks really cool...the tow hooks complete the 'after-a-race-for-display' picture...

Actually, that is not true.

Sheriffs, PDs, have "jurisdiction" or ability to give citations on the highway, however, they're usually unlikely to do so because they'd need to document this action more so (more paperwork etc) than they would if they give citations on surface streets.

Often times you see car chases in CA where CHPs take over the lead when the suspect pulls onto CA freeways. This is so because CHPs are obviously more trained to manage crimes committed on highways than on local streets.

I always wondered about this until I asked my friend who just became an OC county sheriff. He gave me the bottom line that most law enforcement agencies coordinate their resposbilities with each other, PD, CHP and Sheriff Dept, and they ideally would like to protect as much as possible, but also with less hassle as much as possible.

Your story just doesn't make sense, and it's annoying that you're posting about it.
I paid someone for the stickers and the install, and about 30 sec on photobucket

That was after the "emotional" moment I had with the cop.....once my buddy knew things would be ok, he asked the second cop if he could take pics....I had to stay in the car though...

NEXT time I do a show in Cali, I will make sure to have even LARGER vinyl logos on the vehicle to see how many more "purest" I can offend

Hopefully this time with your larger vinyl logos, you'll be able to attract local police, sheriffs, CHPs, and the SWAT all at once to pull you over. That'll be an interesting story for your magazine attention.

You don't offend people with your stickers buddy, you just annoy the hell out of people when you drive 110mph down the 405 violating carpool rules. On top of that, glorifying it with pictures and what not. Trust, "purest" don't hate on your stickers, they hate drivers like you. Stay out of California.

It was in the middle of summer, July or August, I just finished eating/drinking at Z Sushi (terrible sushi btw) in South Pasadena, on Garfield. My face is bright red(purple actually) from all the Sake. I get into my car (98 Lex E300) and headed north to Dena from Alham. using local streets. I was following my co worker at the time but was very irritated by all the prime time traffic. In a middle of a residential area (S Los Robles & between Cali & Glenarm), I completely blew a stop sign. I deliberately did it bc I was just impatient. As I roll through the intersection, I see a patrol car parked under the shade on my left, literally waiting for someone to do a cali roll. We even made eye contact, bc my windows were down. I drove another 30 yards and pulled myself over w.o. the officer behind me yet. I just simply waited for him to park behind me rear, and of course, he did. My co worker phoned me and told me to put on my redsox newera (don't hate), so I did.

The overweight cop walked up and said "you gave up just like that huh?", i answered "what else can i do ya know?" After the traditional license/reg exchange and he walked backed as I stuck my head out and asked with a smirk "can't you just give me a warning?" I don't know why I even bothered to ask for a warning, bc I should've been happy that I wasn't tossed in a drunk tank. He came back after minutes handing me a ticket w. my license. I said "oh cmon man," and then he assertively said "JUST READ IT".

the ticket had "WARNING" circled.

I love it I love it.

woo..did I say I was a saint?

110mph vs. rolling a stop sign. Very comparable. Maybe he should've taken me to jail for reckless "california roll" on a stop sign?

Also, I should've asked my co worker to take pictures for me for this wonderful accomplishment and start a thread for it.

That post was a reply to someone else's experience with pasadena pd, einstein. A response to my experience vs. boasting about getting out of a reckless driving ticket is very different.

I give you a big for researching though.

It wasn't just 'rolling through a stop sign' buddy. It was the fact that you were driving drunk - so drunk that you said you were lucky you didn't get thrown in the drunk tank.

You are correct though - the two actions aren't comparable. Your actions are much worse than his.

Mmmm....sure, that would be correct if I was drunk. I never said I was drunk, only that my face was red. People often get red faced but not drunk, no?

That was a figure of speech, more of an exaggeration now that you mentioned it, to support that I was lucky to not get a ticket for blowing a stop sign.

If my alcohol level was so evident on my face, wouldn't you assume that the cop could've smelled it from me talking to him?

In addition, now that it should matter anyway, the intent of that reply was to rebuttal the OP of that thread's claim that Pasadena PDs are all "dicks".

Very different from gloating about my mistake.

Bottomline, LAPD spotted several out of state cars driving very fast that could be the reason why they pull you over.

Tacky. Putting vinyl decals on a $70k car. Run out of room on your skateboard?

You are a hypocrite and yes those are comparable, they put stop signs up instead of yield signs for a reason.
