How fast can you type? Measure WPM. (Site inside)
How fast can you type? Considering current technology, typing fast is no brainer. Most jobs might not require you to type fast, typing fast certaintly helps for anything/any job that uses computer(which means, most.).
Lets not bullshit, typing fast doesn't make your turbo to spool up faster or your automatic shift like smg OR your sausage longer. Here is the site. Do it at least 3 times, see what you get on average. WORDS only. LINK: http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php Some info. regarding typing and WPM(words only): Standard being about 40wpm, slow typers usually get around 20wpm. On average, fast typers get around 60wpm. Jobs that require word-processing or typing specific, usually wants someone who can do 70wpm+. Anything above 80wpm+, automatic qualification in typing category. Computer professionals or "geeks" are mostly in 110wpm range. I do not have any information regarding words&numbers together. Lets list it in this fashion. 1. Avg hrs you stay on computer per day: 2. Lowest WPM: 3. Highest WPM: 4. Avg WPM: For me, 1. about 6 hours total 2. 84wpm low 3. 98 wpm high 4. 90wpm avg

When I took a typing test for an employment agency a few years back I did 69wpm with no errors. They said it was the first time they had seen someone with no errors in a while, let alone 69 wpm.
In high school I could do in the 90's wpm. |

1. 12 hours per day
2,3,4. according to that test 29 wpm. I tend to spend most of my time clicking with the mouse rather than typing, and when I do type, its the number pad I use. |

When I was in high school, I could type over 120 WPM average. Back then I would spend about 10 hours a day on the computer and about 20 hours a day on the computer during the summer months. Now, this was before the World Wide Web became popular. Oh yeah, I was only on the phone for only a few hours in total for all of my high school years.
