i dont particularly support either obama OR mccain, but its always been my opinion that ethnicity/race issues are going to hurt obama's chances. case in point is the trailer trash interviewed in the OP's post.

being middle eastern myself, i experienced quite a bit of that growing up in tx (which is why i now enjoy my life in nor cal, ha ha)

My name is Middle Eastern and have experienced racism/discrimination because of it. So I know what it's like.

It is a shame in this day and age we still have people like this, I blame it on humans race interfering with natural selection, there are days if it was not for modern science some of these people would not he here today.

Whether we like it or not, come election day when people are going into vote and they are going to forget about the issues and vote for the person who they think is more like them, which is kind of scary if you think about it.

Also, the people who will decide this election this time will be the angry white male, unlike the last two election where the bible thumping conservative who normall never vote, decided it was important cast their vote base on who supports gay marriages and what a women can do with her body.

Now those were two really important things this country has to deal, what is this fication these people have on what everyone else does in their bed room.

I believe that it was Jefferson that believed in democracy and every citizen having a vote...but he also thought that after the Revolution that the country was not ready for that just yet...so he wanted only landowners to have a vote...I guess that we have not made much progress..
