I get this error once in awhile

i would post pic but still after yr of being here haven't been able to. got search it for next time.
anyways on my screen i get this message
"Pass. restraint system...
Fault in passenger restraint system affecting airbag, belt tensor or belt force limiter. Continue to wear the safety beat. have the system checked by nearest BMW center. "

i have generic code reader but doesn't work on my e92.
i may have figured it out by just writing it down here. but if anyone had this message, what was your fix?
i am thinking the thing we click the seatbelt to not the occupancy sensor.
BUT, i get the error as soon as the passenger sits down. its not overtime but its coming up at least 1-2X a week.

I had the same problem with my '04 530i... It was a sensor inside of the seat. I was told the heat from black interior causes it to go bad. Assuming you still have the black on black 328i...

Bmw did issue a recall for the seat occupancy sensor, look into it or you can code out the error so it never bothers you again.
