I mean it helps, but it's not really necessary if you use top tier gas. Techron is the same stuff distributed by the dealer. Generally, it's recommended if you only have access to EPA-minimum gasoline (e.g. you live out in the boonies).
The best thing you can do for your car, in terms of gasoline, is to be consistent with the product you use. Mixing isn't bad, but you're going to gain the most benefit by consistently choosing the same brand since they design the brand to specifically benefit from repeated use. People all have their favorite brand of gasoline. It's best to choose one from this list and stick with it. Going with the one most commonly found in your area is the easiest. I personally try to balance between the most common one, and the one with the most detergents as found from research papers on gasoline. Also, if you don't find your favorite brand and you are traveling, it's obviously better to just fill up with something else than to run the fuel pump dry Don't get too OCD over it. Ok, thanks! I don't think a 3-4 year old car would need to clean their fuel injectors just yet?

This! The concentrate is (well, concentrated) version of what they use in their gas. It does have a great reputation for actually cleaning your fuel system.

Considering buying a bottle and trying it out. I regularly fill up with Chevron 91 w/ Techron, so would I see any benefit? I drive a 2009 w/ 65000km (40,000 miles).

It works, it sales usually for aroun 5 a bottle in packs of 2 at walmart or various promotional events.
The Chevron fuel cleaner is not the same substance and does not work as good. |
