BTW, OP: How are the gun laws in HI?
Laws here are pretty strict. If you want to buy a handgun, you have to take and pass a training course. Once you do that, you apply for a handgun permit. Then they do a background check on you, takes about 2 weeks. Once you're approved, you go to the gun store and pick out which gun you want, make, model, serial number. Then you take the info to HPD and they give you a "permit to buy." You take this to the gun store, and buy your gun. Then you have about 5 days to physically take the gun back to HPD to get fingerprinted, interrogated (jk), and the the handgun registered.

You have to repeat the above for EACH handgun you buy, save the training course. Rifles are different. You need to only get one permit, then you can buy as many rifles as you want. But I think the rifle permit is only good for one year.

There, probably more than you wanted to know about guns laws here. But violent crimes using guns are not very common here, so I guess the laws work. Oh, and one more thing. Concealed carry is not illegal here. The Chief of Police can issue permits for civilians to carry concealed handguns. BUT, the chief NEVER issues these permits, so for all intents and purposes, NO civilians are allowed to carry guns.

Thanks for posting up pics. Looks like some of you have a fortress!!

Dang, lots of sigs here. But I might even venture to say the Sig P226 could quite possibly be the best all around pistol ever made.

Nice to see other M3 owners with guns... but what's with all the plastic? The only plastic that should come near a handgun is a credit card!

We have a few rifles at home.. just as deco pieces though.. not sure if they are worth anything or are even working guns or worth anything... they were given to us as presents from different people and stuff..
if I post pics, could you guys tell me what they are? we're not gun people at all..
they are bolted to the wall.. you need a screwdriver + ladder to remove them.

completely agree. i've shot many guns, but i've never had one work like my sig. accurate, never jams, solid construction, and precision firing. works great clean or dirty.

Damn you...I can't wait to get an EOTech and a quad rail...

By the way, I don't think you have enough mags, haha. I only have three 30 round, one 20 round and 3 10 round mags.

I had my AR a good 8 months before I pulled the trigger on the EOTech, I used microsoft's Live cashback ebay deal (it was about 15% when I bought it off ebay, so my ~$415 scope only ended up running me about $350). I got pretty good at the good old iron sights, but after getting the EOTech I wouldn't want to go back. You should try to shoot both EOTech's and AimPoint's and see what type of optic your eye likes better.

What type of scope do you have on your Rock River? Whats the magnification?

I prefer the EOTechs over the AimPoints, I don't know why... I would love to get a Trijicon ACOG but I don't really want to spend $1300 on optics.

The scope is a Bushnell and it is only 10x magnification. It was just something simple for me to get started. I actually sold it today. I wont put another scope on a 16" AR, it will go on the 20" or 24" with a bi-pod that I want.
