You can modify FA, and load it for coding and VO Code car with it, without ever writing modified FA to car using VCM. Make sure that under E-Sys => Options => Settings, Update VCM and Update MSM are not checked.

Make sure you add OEOE as HO-Wort and not as SALAPA-Element.

The only option i have in my iDrive menu is Door Locks and within that are two further options: Unlock All Doors or Driver Door Only.

Any ideas please?

I think i made a mistake, hopefully not..

Shawn i unchecked the VCM and MSM in Settings under the option tab just like you said but after editing the FA file that i loaded on the VCM tab under Expert Mode and added the Ho-Wort (OEOE) and Calculated FP and saved it, i then clicked on the MASTER tab at the bottom and clicked WRITE FA FP... Would i be in trouble with the dealership and did doing that void my warranty??

Really worried and stressed out.. Sorry to be a pain.

at first thanks for the S/W and all the explanations without it I even wouldn't know where to start! But it seems that a need a little bit of help. I intsalled e-sys (3.25.3) and applied the patch. copied the pzdata files (52.1) to e-sys/data and the folders to SWE.
Attached the obd cable to my car and connected with e-sys. so far it is working (I can read out VIN, etc.), but when I try to read "CAFD_..." in HU_CIC (I wanted to start with indicator lights in HUD) I get an error message...

Hello All

ive coded a fair bit of my F20 M135i June 2014 now with success, however there are a couple of things which aren't 'working' or failing to find the option to code.

I have bus nav with HU_champ2

FIRST ISSUE

Ive coded for BMW Live and although i now see the items available, and also done the required update. when i try to access e.g.: the internet i get a error message back, and when i select BMW live it states it was not purchased as part of the car order? Details Below

I see under the available options status Internet and BMW Live. But yet when i select internet it is still stating a browser error. <Application error in Browser please try again or restart the application>

Also when i select BMW Live it messages with <this is an optional service that has not been purchased for this vehicle>

Under available services for the vehicle are

Assist My Info
Assist traffic information
Assist Emergency Call
Automatic tele service call
BMW Live
BMW Mobile Care
Battery Guard
Door Unlock
Internet
Teleservice Report
Vehicle finder

SECOND ISSUE
I thought id be able to change the Idrive/connected start up image to the M logo image. (Im sure I've seen the option but i can't find it on my car. <another forum member 'wibbles' has said this is only a option on the ProNav?> can anyone confirm this?

Third Issue
I want the car to remember the last damn setting on the AC.. and the code line is
IHKA 3002 OFF_MEMORY Air Conditioning will remember if ‘Off’ or ‘On’ from previous shutdown.

yet i can't find this on my car??

last Issue
I wanted to get the weather reading option on the screen, and i think its an option to do. advise would be great.

shawn i am running esys 3.24.3. This is the second time this year I have had dealer work on my car and they update the software and now i cannot code my car to my liking. I just tried to code my car after the dealer had it last week and I get cafd_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx not found!

What do I need again for this? Do I need to update my esys or just the cafd files?

I am running esys 3.24.2. I tried to code my car and I also get:

FEM_BODY [40] [ˇˇˇˇˇˇˇ]
readCPS o.k.
cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255 Fehler:
File for "cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012]

So, I tried:

Connect => Read FA => Activate FA => Read VCM => Left-Click on FEM_BODY => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD matching your I-Level => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM_BODY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

And get a new error: [C111].

Do I need to update my PSdZData?

You should first try other CAFD's from Detect CAF for SWE option.

What PSdZData version you using?

This problem is happening after I took my car to review. They changed the rules on revisions of 8,000 km to 12,000km and all encodings were erased.
