Come on...it's not that bad. Baltimore is actually a safe city if you know where not to walk. All the touristy stuff is fine.

My girl friend and I are going to South Beach this August. I have only heard positive things about SoBe, Florida so it must be a great place for vacation.

South Beach is for ballllerrrs. LOL. It's just because everyone there is loaded and restaurants/bars/clubs are expensive. I went to some "cheap" club once and it was $75 a person to get a table.

I am looking on expedia and the reviews dont always mention about things being very expensive down there, so I was a little unclear. Yeah I hope it will be fun.

What about Atlantic City? Drink your a$$ off, gamble, or party like a rockstar at Borgata (hot women everywhere). Its summer time, so all the beach bar's are open and pretty lively on the weekends.

I am not a party person, nor is my girl friend so we are not really not worried about the club prices. I just wanna make sure there are things to do like scuba diving and jet skiing with really nice and unique restaurants.

Rent a place in the Hamptons, Long Island. Beaches during day, lots of clubs at night.
Another place I liked was Newport, Rhode Island. You can stay at a "bed and breakfast". They have one or two good clubs. http://www.destinationnewport.com/ Southbeach is good too - try to make it over to Vizcaya for one of their parties. |

Sobe can be cheap if you want it to be. Just go during hurricane season...j/k. I've been to Sobe and managed not to go broke. Just get on guestlists in advance, and ask your hotel concierge. Sometimes they will hook you up with comps to certain clubs/bars. You can choose to spend an arm and a leg or you can choose to find inexpensive but great spots. Personally I got more satisfaction from one of those $10 Cuban restaurants than the $50 per person dinner I had at B.E.D.

Yeah me neither, I've only been to a club like 3 times. I just figured since that is what most people like to do (like 95% of them). There is definitely jet skiing, but scuba diving/snorkeling/swimming with dolphins, you schould go to the florida keys. It's like 2-4 hours from Miami depending on how far out you go.

Boston? 6 hour drive from Phila. NYC again. Did you do everything the first time? D.C. if you want to visit historic/tourist sights, Smithsonian could keep you busy for a month or 2. Some good bars. Baltimore - good for at least a few days. Not nearly as much crime as there used to be. Why not Phila? When's the last time you stayed in a hotel in Phila, and visited the tourist sites there? Some good bars allow cigars... I know you live in Phila. Beach? Not much nightlife..Jersey Shore? Hamptons very expensive, but you could stay nearby. Nantucket/Cape Cod - always fun, but a little further. Nice trip out on the ferry, if good weather. If you have lots of $$$, you could go anywhere and have fun. Use your imagination - go crash some weddings, short cruise, Outer Banks, go to a golf resort, Southwest/Jet Blue have cheap flights everywhere! I wish I had a week to burn... |

ok i dont have alot of money but i do have a good amount to spend. Now i live in Philadelphia so No thanks! lol Umm Boston sounds decent. NYC ive been there so many times, and the jersey shore for philadelphians is a second home, along with AC and wildwood and cape may and all those places. Now the hamptons ive never been there bu ti dont have that much money to spend. Sobe is far and expensive. I went there a couple yrs ago. Id rather go to mami again then there. I have 5-7 days to be where ever i go. I was just curious to see what people know about the east coast. Like NC, VA, GA maybe, or CT, MA all those places. I have a few weeks to decide. Im tryin to go end of aug. which is last mintue but i dont care. Itll happen dont matter where i pick. Well thanks for all the help everyone. Keep it comin!
