No. Just by their names alone you should be able to tell that. GT3 is more privateer than GT2 and the cars are not as fast. The Z4 GT3 would be running agains the 911 GT3 R and the Audi R8 LMS or whatever it's called among others. That said, I don't know how the VLN classifies their cars (although their cars still are based on FIA rules). Oddly enough, the 911 GT3 RSR is a GT2 car (same class as M3 GT2).

As for the video... I didn't really see it "race" a GT3 R... it was stuck behind the vanilla GT3s most of the time. In fact on the last straight it looked like the 911 GT3 R increased its gap.

The driver looked fairly weak as well. More muscle than finesse. How about that little maneuver at ~1:53? Yech...
