E92 - B14 Coilover Install Help (RWD)

Hey guys! Been using the forum a lot since I bought my 07 335i in November 2023. Done a lot of work since then and my last project is installing brand new Bilstein b14 coilovers. I have been searching far and wide for installation pictures to confirm I have it done correctly. Can someone who has them on their car take off a front wheel (I currently am doing the passenger front) and snap some photos? The only ones I can see is xdrive and it looks a bit different.

Specifically I am wanting to make sure how far the coilover needs to go into the spindle and if the piece on the coilovers rests on top.

Thank you!!

It might help if you can provide photos of what you have done so far.

Let me know ! This is my first time ever installing coilovers so if it's wrong don't flame me too hard but let me know what I can do to fix !

looks good, center up the pins in the gap slot and till it rest/touch the bracket stop like u got. also lube up the adjust collar threads and that upper spring pad -probably would have replaced but shouldnt be an issue unless it totally fall apart

Thank you so much! All the upper parts are brand new OEM! I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to take it apart again to fix any old hardware.

u meant the strut mount, rubber spring pad looks crumbly. not sure if thats a redesign but mine had a locking collar unless those dimples on the collar are allen set/lock screws?

That one is for xdrive. Are you meaning for the height adjustment ? If so mine has the same and has that long hook looking tool to adjust it. Everything is brand new!

never mind, guess there are 2 versions since manual give instructions for both-lock collar and lock screw

Thank you for sharing that as my instructions didn't explain how to adjust even though it seems straight forward. Should have it done by this weekend and I'll update this thread!
