That damn walkway just above ice also makes it difficult to see into the corners when combined with the gentle pitch of the bowl. Wow small world. My cousin was at that same game.

Absolutely, trap is nothing new, but under the new obstruction/hooking rules it's a lot harder to play. If you lay your stick on anyone now who's got a step on you, it's 2 min. I didn't say the trap wasn't effective, but it's a good way to put me to sleep. I wouldn't pay money to see Wild hockey, but I do pay money to see Oilers games. I would also pay to see Buffalo, Carolina, Atlanta, Nashvile, Toronto, SJ, Anaheim, Vancouver, Detroit, NYR...

BTW, the Canadiens of the '70s didn't play trap hockey. It was an invention of the early '90s that allowed less skilled teams to compete.

OK, fine Jaws. Let's just agree that Hockey is the greatest sport in the world, and be happy the season is underway.

Great, I forsee another Heatley/Snyder... 500 hp and a new driver do not mix well.

After the Flyers' 5 game home stand starting these week it'll be do or die for Ken and Bobby. I hope the Flyers pick it up even though I am a Habs fan!

Go Flyers! Always a bridesmaid never a bride!

i just read the story on tsn.ca.

I'm still revelling in the Habs' 8-5 drubbing of the Avs (Theodore and Brisebois)

Ugh good riddance. Brisebois may have gotten 2 assists but his departure was addition by subtraction. Same with Theo. He hung out with the Mob, his Dad was a loan shark, he was banging Paris Hilton while being married.....too big for his britches!

And so the crowd chanted!!

Let's see...

We've beaten the Hurricanes (Home and away)
Senators
Detroit (In Detroit)

Oh yeah and a bunch of scrub teams like the Flyers, Bruins, and Canadians.
