17s in rear and 19s up front?

Well this is my first post sorry if this has been answered already and if it has please direct me in the right direction I have been searching for a couple hrs and can't seem to find exactly the answer I'm looking for..

I have a 08 e92 335i sport package with factory 19s it has the stock 225/35r19 up front and I upped the rear size to a 255/35r19 instead of a 30, my question is can I leave the 19s up front and buy an extra set of 17s and put a 275/40r17 on the rear to use occasionally on the drag strip and the weekends on the street when needed for better traction? I know that wheel and tire size will fit on the rear but will the car(electronics) be ok with it with the 19s up front and 17s on the rear?

It shouldn't cause any technical issues. You may want to go with a thicker profile to get the outer diameter closer. Make sure you double check that the 275s will fit. You may need to roll your fenders if you haven't already.

It will work fine, that's what most of us do. If you don't have TPMS in your drag wheels, you'll get a warning light, but that will reset once you put your stock wheels back on. If you're not lowered, you won't need to roll (and probably don't need a roll if lowered with no spacers).
