I'm not sure that anyone is doing this with the N55 yet. I know that you need a backend flash and an inline fuel pump upgrade in order to do it on the N54.

Is there any benefit to getting the double barrel?

I have JB4 and FF wires but I can only run up to 40% e85 and 60 % 91.

Why do you want to run 100%? It's been proven already that you don't make any more power after 70% on stock turbos. You would need as mentioned above all new aftermarket turbos to run 100% AND make more power.

From an octane standpoint it seems anything more than 50% ethanol is not necessary. On the stock LPFP I've had good results running about 40% ethanol and targeting a lean AFR. Around 13.5 tapering to 13:1 at the top end. When I was running mid 11:1's AFR the car was not happy, I'd experience what seemed like a misfire but I think it was really a failsafe for low fuel pressure, I believe I was overworking the LPFP. This is with a custom Cobb tune, but a JB4 with FF wires shouldn't be much different.

E85 for no headache mixes. Unless you have an ethanol sensor I would much rather be tuned for e85. You will need an upgraded lpfp and can run either vtt Hpfp upgrade or motiv's fuel rail. You will also need some way to tune for it.

That would be true if all E85 was actually E85. It can vary drastically from one station to the next. It can also change depending on the price between ethanol and 87 oct.

Hey Aren. I did a little research on this. You will need one of the LPFP upgrades found here:
Stage 1 http://www.fuel-it.biz/e-series-stag...grade-options/ or Stage 2 http://www.fuel-it.biz/e-series-stag...grade-options/ And you will also need a back-end flash map from Terry@BMS. You would need to use a Cobb AP to load the map.

LPFP ike the fuel it is used in almost every car. The HPFP is specific to our car, so not much for options out there. There is a port injection system too that just came out from Motiv (pretty sure it was them).

It seems like people just don't really see a benefit to using 100% E85 without a turbo upgrade which would bump up power enough where the stock HPFP might have trouble keeping up.
