Torque value for factory strut brace?

I've scoured the internet and old posts but couldn't find the right torque value for the oem strut brace bolts. I'm referring to the E14 and E20 reverse torx bolts in the photo (from pelicanparts).

Thanks in advance!

30 ft lbs + 1/4 turn for the sides, 74 ft lbs + 1/4 turn for the center bolt.

Thanks a lot! Thankfully I didn't use the 73.75 and 25.07 ft lbs I read for the M3 brace somewhere else on an old thread...

I don't know how critical these torque values are but I can tell you BMW says in TIS not to drive with the brace removed because "body damage can occur".

Really? How much difference can 25 vs 30 ft lbs make?

The ones you've posted are for the M3. Do they apply for the OEM brace too, or is it 30 and 74 as per index1489?

Also, What about this guy's comments? What's angle torqueing?

Also the bulkhead isn't 73.75 only, you have to do the angle torque afterwards aswell as spec'd by BMW.

Bentley says 25 ft lb / 34 nm --- same as M

A technique BMW requires on some nuts - torque to spec, then add'l turn to specified degrees. Electronic torque wrenche is ideal for this - HERE's what I use.

Drove mine for 3 days with the bolts undone when I first did my coilovers. Babied it around corners and came out just fine. Also concur with torque values - running M3 strut brace now.

Which coilovers did you install? Just had KW V2's put in over the weekend and to adjust them, doesn't look like I can get to the top allen nut unless I remove the stock strut brace, right?

Also, did you do the strut upgrade after getting your coilovers or before? Want to know if noticed an improvement. Debating whether I should do that too now, as I've read here and there some saying strut braces don't do much, especially since I now have coilovers.

My stock strut brace was kept in during the install, we undid the bolt in OP's photo and that was enough to get access. I did the strut braces the very next day and didn't have time to test difference. General consensus I've heard is the $$$ to improvement ratio doesn't justify the change unless you've done other suspension mods as well (M3 bits, sway bars etc).

Thanks. Good to know about the torque specs.

Holy smokes, that's a $600 torque wrench! Wow. I've got a plain old click type.

PS Have you heard of people getting theirs calibrated every x years, by the way? Just curious. I use mine to change two sets of tires twice a year, and have had it for like 5 years now.

I need to change my KW V2 settings, and I can't see how I could change the front ones without removing the strut brace first. I've got an E93, and I had the M3 control arms in the front and KW V2's installed this past weekend. That's all I have for now. No sways.

I'm debating whether to A) get a strut brace too, and B) if I am, to pony up the big bucks for the M3 one, or just get a two point one like the Active Autowerke for $250 which might be just as good, since it keeps the OEM one too.

@CALWATERBOY - any thoughts on my brace dilemma? The shop who installed it (they don't do too many BMW's) said to just leave things as is, and not bother getting a strut brace, but since you've got an E93 too, I thought I'd ask you as I trust you more.
