Good Lord the new Corvette is UGLY

My god I was hoping this time would be different. I was hoping the USA would present a car to our Euopean friends that we could be proud of.

Nope. We have to wait another freaken 7 years in hopes we'll get it right then. Because we're certainly not getting it right now. It looks like it's trying too hard. Too many creases, edges and the letter V. Looks like the guys from Cadillac designed it, thinking they were designing the next Lamborghini. Thinking is the key word.

What do others think?

I thought it looked good! I like the new look and I'm sure the Zo6 and ZR1 will be even better!

I am not sure about the tail lights. It needs more power though. 450 is lame.

I was watching an old episode of Top Gear yesterday, and they were reviewing the current C6. Hammond liked it but Clarkson walked right up to it and pointed out something surprising. With his hands he pushed the rear plastic bumper inwards and it deflected a good 2 inches. It was pathetic. It was just symbolic how cheaply the fit and finish is all over the car. Just like the interior plastic. They trashed that as well. Oh and the leaf spring suspension also. Clarkson said Kurt Douglas used a similar suspension setup while running his chariot around the track in Sparticus.

Seemed like they were trying to make it look fairly similar to the 599GTO, but maybe that is just me. I like the car, but the vents/scoops/taillights as others have said throw it off a bit for me.

Yea, too bad a $30k Audi A3 spanks it in the fit and finish dept also.

You are commenting on the fit and finish of a car that hasn't even hit the market yet?

By the way guys... Don't forget this is the entry level C7. 450hp is right on track considering the base C6 is 430hp. Should be on a little bit of a diet too so that will translate to a performance boost. I believe they are hinting at sub 4 second 0-60. The Z06/Z07 model will be on its way in the next few years.

I personally love the new styling. Think it has more of a european look to it and it is nice to get out of the outdated interior. Although it is certainly not the best of the best, it is certainly a decent interior considering the price point.

Audi A3?

+1 The front facia is hideous with that busy looking lower grill and side LEDs.

The rear looks like they got inspired by a square block of wood..right angles everywhere you would probably slice your hand on the rear bumper line....just ugly.

Someone needs to invite GM designers to the concept of curvacious body design. Not this soap box look they seem to incorporate into all their cars.

I think it looks good compared to C6, but somehow the side profile reminds me of Hyundai Genesis Coupe

The interior just has to be passable. It's a fucking Corvette; you don't buy it so you can gawk at some trim bezels and diamond quilted leather.

Yes, Audi A3. Mind you not many auto interiors can stand up to Audi's interior aesthetic design, material choice and tactile feel.

Not sure what year this one is....

2014 Sport line interior....

I don't expect GM to flick a switch and make interiors on par with the best of the business. What gets me is they debut the all new corvette and the buttons are oversized, weird shaped and seem to be arbitrarily placed. But what puts me over the top is the turn signal stalks on the steering column. I swear that is the SAME fricking stalk that was on my girlfriends 1984 camaro and also makes appearances in 1992 camaro, chevy blazer, GMC pick ups, etc....

I mean really, you can't redesign a better looking, feeling, functioning turn signal stalk in 30 years?!?!?
